What is In2Care® Mosquito Control?

The latest product in our line-up, In2Care® Mosquito Control Solutions, was registered with the FDA in September 2022. It is a unique and effective method of controlling and killing mosquito larvae. A novel approach using mosquitoes to spread the treatment (auto-dissemination) and keep your yard mosquito-free, In2Care® Mosquito Control Solutions, will have a significant impact as it effectively controls the mosquitoes that carry dengue, chikungunya viruses, and canine heartworm.

How it works?

The In2Care® Mosquito Trap is made of durable recycled polypropylene (PP) components and consists of a lid, central tube, click-on interface, and reservoir. A floater moves along the central tube with the water level and serves as the landing or resting site for mosquitoes.

One of its kind

In2Care® Mosquito Control Solutions is the only registered mosquito control system in the country that carries both the larvicides (pyriproxyfen) and the adulticides (Beauveria bassiana). Pyriproxyfen, an IGR larvicide, is used by the national government as one of the standing interventions against the spread of the dengue outbreak. The integration of the insect-eating fungus, Beauveria bassiana, that serves as the adulticide completes the control of the life cycles of the mosquitoes. The fungus is in a solid powdered form that adheres to the mosquitoes’ bodies upon contact with water and gauze, killing it in a matter of days without developing or passing over any resistance, unlike most synthetic insecticides.

Auto Dissemination Technology

During the time before the mosquito succumbs to the fungus, the mosquitoes still spread the larvicide to other cryptic breeding sites to kill her larvae and the larvae of other mosquitoes. This “Auto Dissemination Technology” is what makes In2Care® Mosquito Control Solutions unique among all the existing mosquito control options available in the country.
